Not so long ago, James O’Keefe became the talk of the media after his failed attempt to infiltrate the Open Society Foundation, an organization that was established by George Soros. George Soros is a widely known businessman and philanthropist. Many were amazed at how the activist made such a sappy mistake that thwarted his efforts. It is said that James O’Keefe called Dana Geraghty, an employee of the Open Society Foundation, and told her that his name was Victor Kesh, a Hungarian-American and that he wanted to aid in the organizations fight for the European Values. Soon after he had left his contact, James O’Keefe forgot to hang up the phone and was heard discussing his intentions with the organization. The conversation had lasted about ten minutes before James O’Keefe realized that he was yet to hang up the phone. During those ten minutes, James O’Keefe is heard saying, “What needs to happen someone other than me to make a hundred phone calls like that.” James also says that he is going to look at Danah Geraghty’s LinkedIn page to obtain information that would ease his way into the Soros “octopus.” It was naïve for him not to realize that in doing so it would also reveal his LinkedIn profile to Dana Geraghty. What makes this debacle mirthful is that he saw Dana as the best person to use to infiltrate the organization. Chris Stone, the president of Open Society Foundation, made fun of how inexperienced James O’Keefe and his accomplices were. However, he was quick in pointing out the severity of the matter saying, “But the issues here aren’t funny. There’s some kind of dirty-tricks operation in play against us.”
